Ziele und Inhalte
Students are capable of interacting in English - especially in the English classroom - fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. They can use English flexibly and accurately for social, academic and professional purposes.
Throughout primary English education students pursue the development of their English language competence. In self-study and by means of their own initiative they invest in the improvement of their English competency level so that at the end of primary English education they successfully pass an internationally valid exam at C1 level according to CEFR.
Form des Leistungsnachweises
Students show proof of C1 English language competence attested by one of the following certificates: CAE (Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English), IELTS Band 7.
Under certain conditions defined in Art. 32 der Ausführungsbestimmungen zum PH-Ausbildungsreglement students can sit an in-house C1 language examination.
Further information regarding the required C1 English competence can be found in the Verbindliche Hinweise, Chapter 8.
Under certain conditions and on request students can be dismissed from doing an international C1 exam. Details regarding the C1 level are described in: Verbindliche Hinweise über die Ausbildung der Pädagogischen Hochschule Luzern, 1.9.2020 (Stand 10.11.22), Kapitel 8
