Ziele und Inhalte

This module emphasizes nurturing students' independence and self-reliance in their exploration of literature, culture, grammar, and vocabulary. Students actively analyze the content and create theoretical assignments suitable for academic journals or conferences.

A key aspect of this course is an in-depth exploration of the English-speaking world, encouraging participants to examine cultural phenomena from multiple perspectives and comprehend cultural dynamics. It will address and debate questions like "What are effective ways to systematically teach the cultures of the English-speaking world?" and "How does acknowledging cultural diversity influence our roles as educators?" Equally important is the careful selection of texts spanning classical to contemporary literature, including works by authors from varied cultural backgrounds.

Another fundamental aspect of modern language education covered in this module is the mastery of grammar and vocabulary. A specific focus on vocabulary education introduces students to best practices and explores various methods for teaching vocabulary. Finally, students will systematically examine grammar chapters and discuss strategies for effectively teaching these concepts in Secondary-II classrooms using diverse sources and digital tools.
