Ziele und Inhalte
The English Project Work complements the didactic modules with a written assignment, enabling students to establish a personal focus. By exploring a chosen topic, students can independently advance the development of one or more professional competencies (as per the reference framework).
The nature of the project can be theoretical, conceptual, or empirical. This means students may choose to investigate their own or others' teaching methods, examine the effectiveness of developed strategies, or encourage and support students' research-based learning. During a consultation, topic proposals are discussed and agreed upon with the supervising person. Lecturers assist in topic selection, evaluate the project's demands and feasibility, and outline the content and formal requirements.
For students pursuing a double major who select the "Vertiefungsarbeit Fachdidaktik" in their elective area, there is an option to focus on an interdisciplinary question in the project. In such cases, students choose a primary supervisor from one subject and a co-supervisor from the other subject for their teaching methodology project.

Voraussetzungen für die Teilnahme
The project work may only be submitted upon completion of a minimum of one submodule in English Didactics. The ultimate submission deadline is set for the final semester prior to graduation, either by the end of May or the end of November.
