Ziele und Inhalte

CONTENT
This lecture series offers students foundational insights into culture, identity, otherness, and diversity. Through critical engagement with theories and case studies, it explores how cultural differences are perceived, how intercultural relations are shaped, and which competencies support inclusive learning and teaching

AIMS
By the end of the module, students will be familiar with key concepts for understanding and discussing cultural diversity across contexts. Theoretical frameworks will support reflection on personal experiences and intercultural perspectives.

With reference to the "Referenzrahmen" of the PH Luzern, the module prepares students for the following professional competences:
08 Reflective competence
10 Professional ethical competence

It focuses on the following competency aspect:

Lehr- und Lernformen

Weekly lectures are provided as a combination of on campus sessions and online presentations. Students will find all learning materials and self-study assignments on Moodle. The content covered in the lecture is required knowledge for EN 01.09-S1 ELS 3b: Colloquium Critical Approaches to Cultural Diversity.
Furthermore, the lecture series serves as a foundation for Master's-level studies.
